Students grants to attend the XLIII Symposium in Ottawa

Thanks to the generous support of our parent organisation, the DHST, we can offer a limited number of fixed grants of 300 Euros per person to help subsidise registration or travel costs for current students and early career researchers to attend our annual symposium in September: https://sic2024.ca/

Scholars with the following criteria may apply:

– You are a current student (undergraduate or postgraduate) OR early career researcher who has completed their studies within the past 5 years
– You have not presented at a SIC Symposium in person before (you may apply if you have only attended online SIC events)
– You intend to present an oral presentation in Ottawa as the main speaker (with regret, additional authors and poster presenters are ineligible)
If you wish to apply for a grant to help attend this year’s symposium in Ottawa, please send an email to info@scientific-instrument-commission.org  with ‘Grant application’ in the subject line by Weds 8th May.

Please provide us with the following information in your email:

– Name

– Institution

– Status (student or early career researcher, including year of completion of studies for the latter)

– Title of your presentation

We will notify applicants of the outcome by Weds 15th May.
